17 people died after a plane crashed into a river in South Sudan on Sunday.
State information Minister Taban Abel confirmed the incident and indicated that only three people survived.
An eye witness had earlier told Reuters that bodies were recovered from the water.
“We are still removing bodies from the water because the aircraft fell into a river. So far, in front of me there are six bodies recovered from the water,” the witness said.
The plane carried a total of 22 people and two were still missing.

The chartered plane was carrying passengers from the Juba International Airport to the city of Yirol.
