A female Member of Parliament (MP) has gone into hiding after she received reports that anti-corruption detectives are on her trail.

For the past one week, the woman representative who word has it that she is notorious for extorting parastatal chiefs has been unavailable on her cellphone.

Her aides too have switched off their phones, perhaps in an effort to shake off the investigators.

The Grapevine has been told that authorities are interested in questioning the legislator, after several complaints of extortion were raised against her.

It will be interesting to see how long she will run from the long arm of the law.
