Former presidential candidate Abduba Dida has lashed at the Judiciary following the re-deportation of self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) General Miguna Miguna.

Miguna was deported for the second time on Wednesday night. He landed in Dubai this morning but said that he would not leave the airport.

The ‘general’ said that he was assaulted and drugged at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) before forcefully being put on the Dubai-bound flight.

Through a message received by newsrooms, Miguna said he woke up in Dubai feeling sick and needed medical attention.

He also insisted that the only flight he wanted was one back to Nairobi.

“I woke up in Dubai and the despots are here insisting that I must travel on to London. I’m sick. I need medical treatment. A Mr Njihia is threatening me. I need urgent help here. I want to take a flight only to Nairobi. Nowhere else! Disseminate it elsewhere,” said Miguna as seen on The Standard.

Kenyans reacted heavily to Miguna’s second deportation including Dida, who bashed the Judiciary for letting the Executive do their job. Dida, on his Twitter said:

“At this rate we don't need the Judiciary. CJ Maraga should just ask his judges to resign. The executive is doing everything, they even judge and sentence. We shouldn't have institutions that are not functional. Justice George Odunga should stop waiting for miracles.”

This tweet got several responses from many Kenyans, including former CJ Willy Mutunga scoffed at Dida, saying that his opinion was biased but still would be protected by the Judiciary.

“I am sure the Judiciary will nevertheless protect your biased opinion,” tweeted Mutunga.

Dida replied by rephrasing his statement, saying the Executive has become too superior and is taking over the roles of the Judiciary.

“I believe that you did not understand the statement therefore I will rephrase. The executive is feeling so superior to the point of taking over the roles of the Judiciary. CJ Maraga should just ask his judges to resign and let the executive do everything the way they want,” clarified Dida.
