The absence of a certain individual in Mt Kenya region with political connections at the burial of Nyeri Governor Wahome Gakuru over the weekend has set tongues wagging.
According to African tradition, no sin is too big not to be forgiven once someone dies.
However, the Grapevine has learnt that the man who held a huge feast to celebrate his falling out with the deceased has not been seen in public since their big fall out.
They were so close that the deceased's car was often spotted at his home late in the night and their families even visited.
The death of his former, now deceased ally came days after the feast and he has not been seen in public to pay his respects and residents are wondering whether he is blaming himself.
