Deputy President William Ruto last week visited Friends School Pokoro to present a bus. For Friends School Pokoro, their dreams of having a bus came true but for one woman, it is safe to say that it could have been the best day of her life.
Milka Cherotich, who had already met the Deputy President earlier this year, heard that the Deputy President was coming and quickly rushed to the venue, careful not to miss this huge opportunity to meet William Ruto.
Though her short nature could not allow her to be easily spotted in a large crowd, it was surprising that DP Ruto was able to spot her and call her by her name.
Talk about a giving heart- DP Ruto, after a brief chat with Milka, pulled out a few wads of notes and gave them to her. It is believed that she received Sh100, 000 from the DP, which is something that we don’t see every day. The moeny would enable Milka to buy sewing machines for her business.
Milka walked home sh100, 000 richer as the Deputy President again reminded Kenyans that sometimes it is not about politics, but willingness to give.
