What was it like, being crowned Miss JKUAT, Karen?
Incredibly overwhelming, I would say.
How are you dealing with the attention this has brought you?
I get noticed around campus a lot more now, it’s unbelievable.

How are you dealing with this?
I try not to focus on it too much. It’s most important to remain grounded and humble.
What are your career aspirations?
I’ve always wanted to do modelling. I love it.
What would you say is the biggest myth about modelling?
The notion that one needs to ‘know people’ to get ahead, or sleep around.
Are you seeing anyone at the moment?
Not really, no. I have friends though.
Why not?
There is no reason, as such. I got out of my last relationship and decided to take the time to work on myself.
So what’s next for you?
I’m looking to do some good in the community.
