Taita Taveta County Government through the office of the County’s first lady, is in the process of establishing a county rescue centre for victims of gender based violence in the county.
The County first lady, Mrs Hope Mruttu through her campaign initiative “Save our queens” has urged parents and guardians to report gender based violence cases happening within their community.
Recently the Governor Eng Mruttu announced free medical services in all public hospitals in the county for victims of the Gender based violence.
The first lady said this when she visited the home of a 20years lady at Birikani Voi Sub county Taita Taveta County.
