A Chinese firm is in town on a rather odd mission, to collect pig’s poop!
The Nairobian has learnt that the firm has contracted Farmer’s Choice to supply them with the ‘precious’ commodity, which they allegedly process for human consumption.
Farmer’s Choice operations director Stanley Mbugua said the Chinese firm wants the poop in tonnes.
“The pigs waste is a delicacy among the Chinese. They have requested us to supply them with the waste in large quantities. It is good business for us,” he said.

Mbugua noted the company generates more than two tonnes of the waste in a day, which they have been selling to dog keepers in the city.
