Nyandarua North OCPD Benjamin Onsongo has said cases of suicide in the county have increased.
Mr Onsongo said there were 20 suicides in Nyandarua North sub-county in one year citing domestic squabbles and economic challenges as major contributors.
He was briefing the press after the body of Elizabeth Kariuki, 72, was found dangling from the roof of her kitchen at Kirima village yesterday. The body of was discovered by her son.
Meanwhile, a decomposing body of unknown man was found at a thicket in Igwamiti location in Laikipia County.
Mr Onsongo has appealed to anyone who’s relative is missing to report.
