Uasin Gishu, Kenya: Residents of Chepkoilel, Uasin Gishu County yesterday woke up to a rude shock after a suspected vandal was found dangling from an electric transformer.
It is believed the vandal was in the company of others who escaped after their mission to steal copper metals connecting the transformer and electric wires went awry.
Kenya Power officials had a hectic time removing the body of the vandal because one of his legs was stuck between the transformer and iron bars holding it.
Area Chief William Sang said they heard dogs barking continuously before power supply suddenly went off at midnight on Saturday,
“As soon as the power was restored, there was a loud scream from where the transformer is situated,” said the chief.
