She’s not that into you too

While I loved the book and He’s Not That Into You and it’s various permutations thereafter including a movie starring Ben Affleck and Jennifer Aniston (poster child for heartbreak), I have always wondered why is it chicks who tend to take advice more seriously from guys when their girls have been telling them the same thing from tene? A point to ponder, moving on, I decided to give some unsolicited advice to jamaas, yeah sometimes chicks just want to do that, here’s how to know if she is not that into you…

She talks about other guys

If you have a girl you have just started seeing who is always talking about other guys she is seeing, you my friend are in the dreaded friend zone. I know music videos like to tell it differently but the truth is that once you are in the friend zone you are stuck. If anything any move you make towards her will be construed as miscommunication though she will still keep you as a friend so you can give her compliments when her confidence is low. Like Basketmouth would say "women are wicked-o!" hahaha!

She only calls for credit

Unfortunately there are those of us who are more concerned with free bonga points than getting to know a new guy. However, I won’t entirely fault the freebie loving chick in this scenario, there are those guys who believe the way to a woman’s heart is through a wallet.

They are often surprised when that wallet gets bombed out and gets depleted faster than Afghanistan. If you find yourself raving and ranting at a chick’s work place asking for your fridge and TV you bought her sometime back, it just means that she is not a fool, you are.

Her friends

Some chicks are embarrassed about the guys they date. Others are selective about how they introduce some new guy. If the friends barely give you a once-over the first time you meet, believe me, she has given all indications that you and her are not dating. If they burst out laughing when they meet you, prepare to be dumped shortly. There is nothing like the vicious competition that goes on within a clique of female friends. If she really likes you though, she will keep you around regardless of what her friends say.

She is never jealous…ever!

Every chick, even the ones with the looks of Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji feel jealous. They may not act it out but they will give some small indication even if it’s a brief faux-nonchalant: ‘who is that?’ They will notice if you talk and laugh a little too long with another chick. If your girl is oblivious to you even going to the extent of snogging another chick in front of her, she may not be into you. In fact, if she is not bothered by whom your kissing maybe it’s time for you to worry about who she is kissing.

The time factor

If a chick you are dating has very little time with you she may have bigger fish to fry. She may be into her career and not ready for anything serious or perhaps she is just holding onto you until something better comes along, preferably in a Mercedes or Hummer. She will find ways to limit the time you spend together so as not to get attached. She will not invite you to her place and despite obvious culinary talent she will never cook for you even if you are the last starving man on earth, yup, she is just not that into you.
