A nine-year-old girl was defiled and brutally murdered on Sunday evening at Kahuruko village.
Administration Police boss Ndegwa Githinji, said the girl and her mother were going home from church when she stayed behind to relieve herself in a bush.
Githinji said two boys, aged 15 and 16, approached and defiled her repeatedly before dumping her body deep in the thick bush.
"The brutal suspects tied her mouth with a piece of cloth to stop her crying for help," he said.
The AP boss said the two boys were later arrested and are being held at Ngobit Police Station where they are assisting police with investigations before being arraigned in court.
