A cloud of gloom engulfed a primary school in Taita-Taveta County after a teacher committed suicide.
Police, relatives and education officials linked the incident to domestic problems.
Teachers, parents and pupils of Mwandisha Primary School in Teita Sisal Estate, Mwatate District are still reeling in shock following the death of Pascal Mwawaza Mwadime, 42.
Police said the body was found dangling from the ceiling of his parent’s house at Mwanda village in Wundanyi division.

Taita OCPD Samson Kinne said the teacher went home over the weekend and never returned to his duty station on Monday.
Mr Kinne said the body was found by his mother. It was later removed to Wesu District Hospital mortuary.
