Deogratious Ojok celebrates his goal after scoring against Karionagi Sharks.[Tusker]

Ten-man Tusker on Saturday moved top of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League standing after a narrow 1-0 win over Kariobangi Sharks at Nyayo Stadium.

Ugandan international Deogratious Ojok scored in the second minute to secure three important points that saw the brewers leapfrog Gor Mahia at the top.

The defending champions 64 points, one more than Gor Mahia who take on AFC Leopards in the Mashemeji Derby on Sunday.

David Odoyo was shown a red card in the 80th minute after picking up a second yellow card.

Despite playing the remaining 10 minutes a man less, Sharks could not bite Tusker who held on to pick an important win as the title-race continue to intensify.

On Sunday, Gor must now defeat Leopards in the 96th Mashemeji Derby to be played from 3pm at Nyayo Stadium to reclaim the top spot.

K'Ogalo's camp as they are sailing smoothly this season especially after the return of gaming giants SportPesa.

Sonyi scored a record 26 goals in 1976 to lead Gor Mahia to win the title unbeaten alongside other greats including Allan Thigo, James Kadir, Maurice Ole Tunda among others.
