Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia on Saturday moved back top in the FKF Premier League standings after completing a double over Kenya Police in a 1-0 victory at Kasarani Stadium.
Austin Odhiambo scored the lone goal in the 56th minute to send Gor top of the standings.
This is after defending champions Tusker also lost 1-0 to Nzoia Sugar in Bungoma.
K'Ogalo now sit top again with 56 points, two more than the brewers with eight games left until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
Last Wednesday, Tusker had moved one-point clear of Gor after winning their game in hand match against Wazito (2-0) at Ruaraka Grounds in Nairobi.
Nzoia moved third on 51 points, three off second placed Tusker and five points behind leaders Gor.
In Mombasa, FC Talanta held Bandari to a 1-1 draw as Naiorbi City Stars moved four points further away from the relegation zone after seeing off Kariobangi Sharks 2-1 at Kasarani Annex that hosted a double header.
In the second match, Bidco United thrashed Sofapaka 3-0. 10-man Posta Rangers on the other hand saw off relegation bound Mathare United 2-0 at Ruaraka.
