Kenya Sevens team Shujaa registered mixed results on Friday during the final leg of the Rugby Africa Solidarity Sevens friendly tournament played at Stellenbosch, South Africa.
Shujaa started on a high note by thrashing Zimbabwe 28-12. Alvin Otieno scored a brace to inspire Kenya to their second consecutive win over the Cheetahs whom they demolished 24-0 last week.
In the second match, Collins Injera, Vincent Onyala and Alvin Otieno combined to propel Kenya to a 19-12 comeback win over South Africa 2.
However, Shujaa’s perfect run was ended when they lost 38-7 to last week finals winners South Africa 1. South Africa registered two teams at the event.
Nelson Oyoo scored the consolation try for Shujaa. Kenya will be back in action today when they take on Uganda.
