Sleep
At least with a pint size space, you do not have to buy a lot of furniture. You can opt for futon beds as a partner for now because they are cheap and space efficient. Futon beds can serve as a couch by day and a bed at night. Look for a bright cool coloured material that you can work within other decorative pieces.
However, if the space allows you can opt for a bed not too large. Find and try out different brands and thicknesses of mattress to ensure a decent night’s sleep.
Sit
If you have enough space consider non-bulky couches. For extra seating, you can pick up a few folding chairs and store them in a corner until company comes. Padded slipcovers will transform those second-hand chairs from drab to fabulous.
Snacking away
That kitchenette can provide the services of a dining area. First identify appliances needed and how much counter space you have before you buy anything extra. If you can’t live without your coffee maker or food processor, look for smaller models. Once you move into a bigger place, you can buy that super-deluxe caterers’ version and resell your pint-sized appliances to someone else in a studio. Therefore, a bar sized counter stool and round table that can sit two people will fit perfectly without crowding the kitchenette.
Study
A computer table that can serve as home to your computer and study will come in handy in saving space and offering space to study.
Sanitise
In a studio house, often the bathroom/loo is the size of a rat hole. Avoid stuffing it with unnecessary items, but if without shelves, incorporate one for storing towels and bathroom items.
