AFC Leopards skipper Dimonde Selenga has to pass a fitness test Saturday morning before being cleared to face a rejuvenated Red Berets side in a crucial Kenyan Premier League tie this afternoon.
Selenga has been influential in Ingwe’s campaign this season and coach Robert Matano is optimistic that he would be ready for today’s fixture, despite the fact that the striker is recovering from knocks.
"Selenga suffered from knocks, but we will know if he is fit tomorrow (Saturday). Goalkeeper Lawrence Webo has also recovered from a fractured finger," Matano said.
Leaders Ulinzi Stars face 2008 champions Mathare United tomorrow without midfielder Allan Muhati, who is suspended after being sent off against Mahakama last weekend.
International midfielder Evans Amuoka, striker Stephen Waruru and custodian Jacktone Odhiambo are serving six-month suspensions that expected to end next month.
Mathare have been boosted by the return of Jacob Keli and Innocent ‘Babu’ Mutiso, who have left the national under-20 camp for the weekend fixtures.
