An interesting fiery online exchange between Nyandarua Senator John Methu and Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, has been captivating followers on X and exposing tensions within Kenya's political circles.
The clash, which unfolded over the past 24 hours, stems from a contentious incident involving the heckling of National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah and Laikipia East MP Mwangi Kiunjuri during a recent event in Nyandarua, Methu's home turf.
The exchange began when the senator uploaded two images of Sudi atop a vehicle and made fun of him.
"Nyandarua in photos. Pole sana ndugu yangu Usilie sana. Jikaze kimwanaume."
Sudi, a vocal ally of President William Ruto, also took to X calling out Methu, accusing him of orchestrating the heckling to undermine the two leaders.
He further suggested Methu had squandered funds on hiring hecklers, sarcastically advising him to redirect such resources to more pressing local needs.
"Now that you plotted to have Ichung'wah and Kiunjuri booed in Nyandarua, what next? Instead of using money to buy hecklers, you could have bought motorbikes and empower at least five youth," posted Sudi.
He further insinuated that the senator doesn't shower. "ile kitu Methu umenishinda ni UCHAFU. It'll be wise to ask you to prioritise HYGIENE.Nyoa kwanza kabla tubishane na vile kunaonekana nina shauku kuhusu uchafu wa nywele za hayo maeneo nyeti."
The back-and-forth escalated as Methu reportedly mocked Sudi's appearance, saying Sudi's teeth were so bad that "Ukiweza uma mtu ata adungwe tetanus hawezi pona,"
Sudi, known for his brash style, didn't hold back either, with posts suggesting Methu's actions were a desperate bid for relevance and not his equal when it comes to politics.
"It's just laughable how political novices would dare call for a punching contest with political engineers , Kijana mdogo Methu wewe si rika langu kisiasa."
