President Kibaki has sent a protest letter to White House over US decision to write to individual Kenyan leaders informing them they risk being denied visas.
According to dispatch from PPS, Kibaki wrote to President Barack Obama expressing displeasure and concern about letters written by a US government official to 15 Kenyans in their personal capacity on matters of Kenya’s public policy.
Kibaki termed the US action "out of step with international protocols in the conduct of relations between friendly nations".
US ambassador to Kenya Michael Ranneberger recently disclosed that his government has written to 15 Kenyans warning them that they are likely to be barred from entering America for failing to support reforms.
