A woman has landed in trouble over claims that she assaulted her ex-husband in Nairobi's Ruaraka area over claims of stealing a child.
Karen Anyango was accused of assaulting Phillip Muithya on May 8, 2023. It is stated that Muithya was heading home in the evening when Anyango allegedly hit him on the shoulder with a stone as she accused him of stealing their child.
The drama attracted members of the public who rescued Muithya who was in pain. Police established that the two were involved in a court tussle over the custody of the underage child.
Anyango denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh5000. The case will be mentioned on August 14, 2023.
