Days after Bomet Woman representative Linet Chepkorir 'Toto said 'YES' to her fiance Godfrey Kimutai Tanui (Nifty), the two lovebirds have shared a video of the proposal that took place at a facility in Kericho.

Toto was visibly surprised when she walked into a room to find Nifty down on one knee against a well-lit backdrop with the words 'Marry Me'.

The legislator quickly rushed outside to compose herself before she was ushered in and her man popped the question, "Will you marry me?"

Speaking after accepting his proposal, Toto said she was pleasantly surprised by the happenings of the day and was even contemplating documenting the event in a book.

She assured Nifty that contrary to popular belief that politicians are crafty, she intends to remain faithful throughout their relationship.

"This has never happened in my life...I was telling my fiance that I should write a book. I want to congratulate my sweetheart... (They used to tell him) You are not supposed to marry politicians.

"It is said that they are not faithful and will look down upon you because they have money. But I want to assure you.... that I am a completely different person, " she said, amid cheers from those who witnessed her special moment.

On his part, Nifty promised to support Toto in her leadership journey, adding that he will ensure she is happy throughout.

"God has given me the grace to partner with her as my fiancee. This is just the beginning. There's a wedding ahead. I want to promise her that I'll make her the happiest, in order to serve the people of Bomet.

"I'll assist her with political advice, with my views and generally help her achieve her goals," he said.

Nifty added that he was excited to walk the journey of love with Toto, describing her as the best person he could have asked for.

"Thank you, My Love for saying yes."
