Nairobi, Kenya: A suspected Chinese ivory smuggler was intercepted at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Friday night with 0.68kg of ivory.
The 32-year-old man was on transit from Mozambique to China.
According to KWS Corporate Communication Manager Paul Udoto, the suspect is expected in Makadara court on Monday.
‘’Suspected Chinese ivory smuggler to spend weekend in police custody after he was arrested Friday night with ivory while on KQ flight 741’’,Udoto said in a tweet.
