A former police officer recently interviewed by KTN’s investigative team on the Sh6.4 billion cocaine haul and the raid of the Standard Group has said his life is in danger.

Mr Richard Nerima who was attached to businessman Rajendra Sanghani and who revealed shocking dealings of the infamous Artur brothers on Wednesday sought protection from the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR).

“I received a call from the Criminal Investigating Department yesterday summoning me to the headquarters to record a statement concerning reports aired by KTN on their Jicho Pevu and Inside Stories series,” he told The Standard at KNCHR offices.

“I find that call very fishy since this case is not new. It has been pending for six years and I wonder why they are calling me now. There is something behind it and I fear for my life,” a visibly worried Nerima added.

He said he is shocked to learn that he is the only one called to record a statement.
