For several years, there has been talk that a certain long serving politician in Mt Kenya region had two wives.
Those rumors were debunked with a public proclamation from the Member of Parliament (MP) that he was not polygamous.
But if recent display are anything to go by the marriage is not a secret anymore or the ruse is no longer working.
When the MP arrived at a public ceremony recently, there was none else at hand to welcome him apart from the wife he denied.
This has revived talk that perhaps the public was right all along.
