Operations at the National Government Constituencies Development Fund Board could be grounded in the coming days due to a leadership crisis.
The current board chairman, Mr Elias Mbau, has tendered his resignation to venture into politics. Mbau will contest the Maragua parliamentary seat in Murang'a County.
According to Mbau the board, which was operating under a new law enacted two years ago, did not have a CEO.
He said the board had conducted interviews for the post of CEO and that three names had been forwarded to the Devolution Cabinet secretary, who is supposed to hand them over to Parliament.
Mbau was speaking to the press during the handing over of a bus funded by the area CDF for Nyondia Secondary School in Gilgil.
