Two people have been arrested for abetting Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Molo Sub-County.
Molo location assistant chief Timothy Omindo said three girls aged between 15 and 16 had been locked in their grandmothers’ house after undergoing the cut.
Omindo said after receiving information from the public, he alerted the police who stormed the secluded house and arrested the three and their parents.
“We stormed the house where they were with their mother and grandfather whom we both arrested,” said Omindo.
