Manchester United stars will face a pay cut if they miss out on Champions League football again next season, according to the Sun.

Old Trafford deals are structured so that up to 25 per cent of a players’ wages are taken away if they do not reach Europe’s elite club competition.

That means stars who failed to finish in the top four under Louis van Gaal last season have lost a hefty chunk out of this season’s pay packet.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba were not affected by the tough rule.
