As we marked the 11th anniversary of Nairobi’s darkest day, the families of victims and survivors of the 1998 terror attack must have expected more.

The occasion coincided with the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit for a trade conference.

But as it turned out, Clinton did not mention compensation. She only visited the August 7 Memorial Park and laid a commemorative wreath.

She spoke on how Kenya and the US should join hands in the fight against terrorism. Since the attack, the victims have been ignored by the Government and the US.

This was an American war with it’s enemies. Anybody caught in the cross fire should not necessarily go to hell as well!
