Police arrest 48 foreigners in Kiambu after tip-off

The police have arrested 48 foreigners said to have been hiding in a house in Githurai Kimbo, Kiambu County.

The aliens, of Ethiopian origin, were were arrested in Ruiru yesterday. Ruiru OCPD Isaac Thuranira said his officers pounced on the foreigners after a tip off from the public.

"We swiftly moved and arrested them to avert any criminal activity they may have planned," he said. "They were in a small single room where they were staying.

Some had fainted due to lack of enough oxygen," Thuranira said and warned locals against harbouring aliens.
