Ten-man Gor Mahia on Sunday came from behind twice to defeat Nairobi City Stars 3-2 in a five goal FKF Premier League thriller match staged at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday.

Gor goalkeeper Gad Mathews was shown a straight red card 18-minutes from full time for handling the ball outside his area and denying Anthony Kimani a clear goal scoring opportunity.

Anthony Kimani gave Simba wa Nairobi the lead after 33 minutes, volleying home to an empty net before Sammy Onyango restore parity three minutes to the break for a 1-1 tie at half time.

In the final half, City Stars restored their one goal lead after taking the lead immediately after the restart.

Timothy Ouma headed home from a through ball behind the defence from Kimani to give City Stars a 2-1 lead in the 46th minute.

Chasing the game, Gor Mahia's Andreas Spier brought in John Macharia and Sando Yangayay for George Odhiambo and Austin Omondi.

The change paid off as John Macharia set up Benson Omala who leveled the scores once again in the 64th minute.

With 20 minutes left to full time, Gor were dealt a huge blow after goalkeeper Mathews who came off the line and handled the ball outside his box was shown a straight red card for  preventing a clear scoring opportunity.

The record Kenyan champions however did not fall after their pressure saw Dennis Wanjala put the ball into his own net with seven minutes left to play in regular time after.
