Despite Kenyan dancehall king Redsan unveiling his much-anticipated album “The Baddest” at the Carnivore grounds over the weekend, trouble seems to be brewing within the organizing ranks.
Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage who graced the 17-track-album launch has taken to social media to express her frustration towards the event promoters.
In a series of tweets, she claimed that she was abandoned after the show.
“Funny how everyone is asleep and phones are off after the show but they blow up your phone when they need you for radio and press runs before the show,” read one of the tweets.
The Nigerian queen of pop went on to claim that the hotel she has been staying in since she landed has not been fully paid for.
“Checking out of the hotel and full accommodation not paid for, no car to take us to the airport and promoters want to talk trash about artists,” she ranted.
Savage, however, affirmed her love for Kenya despite the unfortunate turn of events.
“I love KENYA always have and always will,” she said, “We shall still continue in this though because the fans deserve better regardless of what happens behind the scenes.”
We are yet to etablish if Jamaican superstar Demarco, who performed at the event, is facing the same issue.
Efforts to reach Redsan and PR guru Anyiko Owoko, who handled the publicity for the event, were fruitless as they did not respond to our calls.
