President Uhuru Kenyatta is in a position to stop the disasters plaguing the country such as the ravaging floods marooning several parts of the country, this is according to House of Hope Church pastor Godfrey Migwi.

Through his social media account, Migwi says that the disasters was as a result of the country not heeding calls for a national thanksgiving led by  President Uhuru.

He added that the country forgot about God when the political temperatures went down despite being on the precipice of chaos five months ago where everyone wanted divine intervention.

“Please Mr President with all due respect Uhuru Kenyatta, deputy President William Samoei Ruto Office of the President – State. Harambee House, give directions to all Kenyans to set one special thanksgiving prayer day, remember this is not a one religion duty or any denomination,” said Migwi.

Migwi reiterated that the buck stops with the head of state.

“Many may slap me the way prophet Micaiah was slapped by prophet Zedikiah for speaking the truth but it’s ok, some can argue and say any preacher or denomination can arrange thanksgiving to their congregations sawa, but that not the way, the same president that gave directions and he himself prayed, he is the one to give directions to preachers, leaders and all Kenyans to give God thanks wherever they are,” he added.

He warned that other ‘consequences’ may soon follow if the nation’s leadership does not listen.

“With a lot of pain in my heart tears in my eyes knowing what God did to our lovely nation I have done my part , shalom, shalom as we obey the voice of most High God if not consequences may follow, God bless Kenya,” wrote Migwi.

Uhuru had in 2017 declared Sunday October 22 as a National Prayer Day following the nullification of the August 8th poll.

Flood waters have taken charge of many human settlements and economic activities in the country as rains continue to pound several areas.

The weatherman has disclosed the rains will continue in several affected areas such as Tana River where thousands have been displaced.
