A man had everyone's worst nightmare made into a reality when he was confronted with a rat struggling to escape from the toilet bowl after going to the bathroom.
Ross Kirwan, from New South Wales, desperately tries to flush the rodent down the drain - only for it to come back again in a desperate bid for freedom.
The footage, shared on YouTube by Ross, shows the rat scrambling around inside the loo before hopping up onto the rim as it tries to escape.
"Jesus Christ," Ross screams.
The rat makes a dash for it and jumps behind the toilet before scuttling across the room, scurrying out of sight.
