Adele is back and she didn’t come to play!

‘Hello’ is the first single to be released from Adele’s upcoming third album, 25.

The music video for “Hello,” Adele’s first single in three years, shattered Vevo’s record for most single-day views with 27.7 million, Vevo announced Monday. The video took over the top spot from Taylor Swift and Kendrick’s, celebrity packed jam, Bad Blood with 20.1 million views.

However, the video did not go viral because of her silky-smooth vocals, rather, because of the ancient flip phone she uses in the video.

The new record isn’t the “Hello” video’s only achievement. It’s also the first music video to be partially shot using IMAX cameras.

According to Adele, she was initially a little uneasy about the song’s opening line (“Hello, it’s me”), but was ultimately won over by the verse. “I knew it was going to be the first thing I was going to come back with,” she said. She further added, “This record is all about how I feel as opposed how someone else has made me feel,” she said. “That’s why it’s a make-up record because I’m dealing with myself for the first time in my life.”

The album, 25, is set to premiere on the 20th of November 2015.
