Mary Biketi, the partner of Cabinet Secretary and former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya, has openly admitted to regularly going through his phone to fend off women who boldly seek his attention.

During a radio interview, Biketi revealed that she doesn't mind Oparanya's past relationships or co-wives. However, she draws the line when it comes to new women attempting to woo him.

"There are times I go through his phone and block whoever needs to be blocked. Kuna tudem tudem, jamani hawawezi kosa. Bado wasichana wanamtaka. I block, block, block. Wale wa nje wabaki nje," she said.

She was candid in her position stating, "Only in-house wives are allowed. After me? Never. I block them."

According to Biketi, some women even go as far as sending indecent photos.

"Some send inappropriate pictures, which is unfortunate. Sometimes I play along and respond just to understand their intentions; they want to meet him and seduce him," she disclosed.

Despite admitting that some of these women may appear more attractive, curvaceous, or even better educated, Biketi remains unfazed.

"Yes, they might be more attractive, have better figures, or be more educated, but I block them. He told me he's happy with the women he already has," she stated.

She recounted their first meeting aboard a flight from Wilson Airport to Kisumu.

"He sat next to me on the plane. I didn't know him personally, but he introduced himself-and that was it. The rest is history."

Biketi confirmed they are married, adding that Oparanya has formally visited her family.

While she values their relationship, she chooses to keep some aspects private out of respect for others involved.

"He's a good man and a responsible father. People judge him a lot when it comes to women, but they don't know the real him," she said.

Oparanya, she noted, once advised her to resign from public service and focus on building her own enterprise, a move she embraced fully.

However, her public life hasn't been without turmoil. A recent modelling event she organised in Trans Nzoia under the Mary Biketi Foundation turned chaotic when over 50 armed men stormed the venue moments after she took her seat.

Her motorcade was attacked, windows were smashed, and her bodyguard was injured.

Despite the violence, Biketi remains determined.

"This won't stop me. My focus remains on empowering young people and supporting the elderly, who have long been neglected by those in leadership."

Though she hasn't declared any political ambitions, she's not closing that door.

"Whether it's MP or Woman Representative, if the people believe in me, I'm ready to serve," she affirmed.

Biketi said she's received calls from individuals close to Trans Nzoia Woman Representative Lilian Siyoi Chebet demanding to know if she plans to contest.

But Biketi maintains she hasn't made such a decision.

"I want to tell her to stop focusing on me and fighting me. Instead, she should serve the people, because I haven't declared interest in her seat."

As speculation spins about her future, Biketi made it clear that Oparanya is not supportive of her getting into politics.

"He is not in favour of it, and the reasons are best known to him," she said.
