Police in Machakos Sub-county have launched investigations into incidents where bank customers are swindled or robbed.
Machakos Sub-county DCIO Simon Waithaka said they had received several complaints from victims. He cautioned those withdrawing money not to carry it in envelopes as it attracts criminals.
In the latest incident, a businesswoman was swindled of Sh800,000 by fraudsters who sold her fake seeds.
Mr Waithaka called on the public to volunteer information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits.
