Police in Kajiado county have been directed to shoot and kill those who steal livestock. County commissioner Joshua Nkanatha, says the officers will have no other option but to shoot and kill those who will be found with the stolen animals.
The order follows a series of livestock theft in some parts of the county where headers have lost a big number of animals. Addressing the media, Nkanatha said security agencies will now use maximum force to contain livestock theft. "I'm warning those involved in stealing livestock in Kajiado East Sub-county that the officers will shoot them," said Nkanatha.
