A police boss officer has been shot dead this evening by a junior police officer at their police camp in Maralal town Samburu County. The motive behind the shooting is still unknown.
The county police commander Karanja Muiruri confirmed the incident saying the suspect has been arrested.
“A junior officer has killed a senior sergeant, who is his boss, we have launched investigations into the incident, we have already arrested and disarmed the suspect,” he said.
The body was taken to Samburu County referral hospital mortuary.

Residents led by area MCA Asha Mohammed condemned the Saturday incident.
“We heard gunfire and came to find out what had happened, we found a junior officer had killed his boss, we condemn such incident, if seniors have a problem with their juniors the matter ought to be looked into,” Ms Mohammed said.
Pastor Loise Teresia has called upon residents to pray for the country now that such cases are on the increase.
