Two women were on Monday fined Sh60, 000 or serve a year imprisonment for resisting lawful arrest.
Faith Isaac and Nancy Muthini were convicted on their own plea of guilty by the Kitui Chief Magistrate Stephen Mbungi for the offence committed at Kalundu area on March 30.
The third accomplice, Susan Wanza, pleaded not guilty to the charge and was released on a Sh50, 000 bond and/or a Sh20,000 cash bail.
Mbungi heard that the three accused persons resisted arrest when police officers Jane Kalunde and Flora Mulwa waylaid them.

The magistrate ordered Ms Wanza to stand pre-trial on April 8.
