Aliko Dangote, the Africa’s richest man, has revealed his plans to buy Arsenal FC from 2020.
Dangote, who is worth £10.4 billion according to Forbes, has been linked with purchasing a bigger stake in at the Emirates for several years.
According to UK Sports Outlet Metro, the Nigerian businessman insists that they will go after Arsenal even if somebody buy the stakes in the club before them.
‘We will go after Arsenal from 2020… even if somebody buys, we will still go after it.’ Dangote told Reuters.
Currently, Arsenal is majorly owned by American businessman and entrepreneur Stan Kroenke with a 67.09% stake, while Russian business magnate Alisher Usmanov has a 30.4% share but has no say over the running of the club.

Reports from Financial Times indicated that Usmanov wanst to sell his share after secretly admitting that Kroenke is reluctant to allow for a potential takeover.
Last year August, Dangote was convinced that Kroenke will sell his stake if he gets the right offer.
‘If they get the right offer, I’m sure they would walk away,’ said Dangote.
‘Someone will give them an offer that will make them seriously consider walking away.
‘And when we finish the refinery, I think we will be in a position to do that.’ He added.
