Two touts operating on the Nakuru-Murunyu route in Nakuru County escaped death by a whisker on Sunday 21 January morning after they blindly rushed to draw passengers to their vehicles.
The Bahama Sacco touts rushed to cross on the other side of the road in complete ignorance of a speedy on-coming vehicle.
The two forced a glitch brake from the driver of the on-coming pick-up who veered off the road to avoid running them over.
The pickup driver managed to control the car and was unhurt.
The scenario angered the waiting passengers condemning them for prioritizing cash over their safety and refused to board any of the matatus.

“They do not even bother to observe the road and are even put our safety at risk too” lamented one of the passengers.
However, the two touts apologized to the passengers and the pickup driver before taking off.
