
One person was on Sunday injured during running battle between police and residents of Lucky Summer area in Nairobi.
The residents were protesting the presence of suspected Mungiki sect members who held a meeting in the area since morning.

Police were prompted to intervene, and in the process one resident was shot by a policeman.
A showdown is currently looming in the city as NASA supporters plan to continue with protests to eject electoral agency officials said to have bungled the August 8 elections.
