There is no honour in politics. It is emerging that some nominated waheshimiwas at the county level actually bought their offices.
One such beneficiary was recently heard bragging to her peers how she gave out Sh200, 000 to the nomination authorities.
Amid peals of laughter, she brushed off concerns about morality arguing that even concubines who are picked to represent special interest groups just end up pleasing their sponsors as they have a special constituency.
This coming from a nominee in a county where two sisters were nominated to represent some marginalised group is not shocking.
