Kenya Broadcasting Corporation staff, who are members of the Commission Workers Union have downed their tools.
The strike was occasioned by what the union said is delay to sign the Collective Bargaining agreement which was successfully negotiated on July this year.
On June 14 2017, COWU issued a strike notice, but the Corporation sought redress from the Ministry of East African Community (EAC), Labour and Social Protection, and the parties were advised to dialogue and seek guidance on implementation from Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
So far, the SRC has requested the Corporation to wait for the Commission’s final advice before the end of the week.
