A boy aged 10 years in Mogotiyo, Nakuru County committed suicide by hanging himself in the bush after the animals he was herding strayed to a neighbor's farm.
The boy is said to have feared severe punishment by his parents.
"The boy fled and killed himself after the cows, sheep and goats he was herding strayed," a villager who requested for anonymity said.
Are location Chief Julius Kangogo, confirmed the incident and assured that investigations have been launched over the matter.
The boy was a class 3 pupil in Kelelwa Primary School. Body was taken to Nakuru hospital mortuary.
