The Government has distributed over 20,000 litres of pesticides to control the spread of fall army worms.
Speaking after handing over the chemicals to the county government, an officer with the Department of Agriculture, Stanley Kipkoech, said they are working hard to cushion farmers from losses.
He disclosed that 210,000 hectares countrywide, 37,000 of which are in Trans Nzoia, have been infested with the pest.
"The Government has put aside Sh325 million to procure pesticides to control the worms."
