Environment Cabinet Secretary Judi Wakhungu has told forest officers to uphold integrity and competence in dealing with challenges facing forest conservation in the country.
Speaking during a pass out parade for 83 foresters and 60 band members at the Kenya Forest Service College in Londiani, Kericho County, Prof Wakhungu said the ministry does not condone corruption and officers found culpable will be dealt with in accordance with the law.
"Any corrupt or unethical activities on your part will not only lead to losing your job, but to prosecution and possible jail terms," she said.
