Cord leader Raila Odinga led other opposition leaders in celebrating 53rd Madaraka Day in a political rally at Uhuru Park, Nairobi.
Thousands of people thronged the park as early as 8am Wednesday morning to be part of the Cord rally. Hundreds of police were deployed to provide security at the grounds.
The highly anticipated event kicked off at around 2pm after Cord leader Raila Odinga arrived at the grounds.
