Sir Alex Ferguson

Former Manchester United Manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been spotted with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, in a move that is claimed to replace the Dutch man at the Old Trafford.

The two, alongside Pochettino’s assistant Jesus Perez, were seen outside Scott’s Restaurant in London’s Mayfair on Tuesday.

Speculations on social media have proved that this is a sure move by Ferguson on behalf of Old Trafford, to save the sinking Red Devils from the hands of Louis van Gaal.

Mauricio Pochettino has placed his career in the sports market as highly-rated head coach in Europe after transforming his young squad into title contenders.

However, reports shows that the north London club were conscious of the meeting, set up due to mutual admiration activities.

Pochettino earlier had confirmed his intentions of remaining at White Hart Lane and that he had a verbal agreement to extend his contract until 2021, despite Fergusons remarks that ‘he has been fantastic.’

“They have a bad record of managers, there is no doubt about that. They have had so many over the years, but this lad has composure.’ Said Ferguson.

“You never see him ruffled and the way his team play is a testimony to the work he is doing.”

The spurs boss also appreciated Fergusons remarks by saying that:

"About six weeks ago, I sat next to Sir Alex Ferguson at a dinner in support of grass-roots football abroad. He said to me, 'I think you guys have got the best manager in the Premier League'.
